Hall of Fame
Grigsby will be the first female swimmer to be inducted into the Oneonta Hall of Fame and was an early pioneer for that sport at the college. Her career highlight was that of setting a national collegiate record for the 20-yard breaststroke in 1966. She set a standard with her commitment to the swimming and diving program for others to follow during her four-year career and served as team co-captain in 1966-67.
Grigsby’s professional life has been devoted to education and swimming where she has attained much success. She has spent 27 years as a teacher and coach for the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District and has had multiple State qualifiers for boys and girls while coaching an undefeated girls team in 1979.
