Wolcott was a four-year starting big man for the Red Dragons in the early to mid-1970’s.  He was known as a tenacious rebounder and defender who did the “dirty work” on teams that posted winning records during his tenure.  He was a two-year team captain and played in the SUNY-CUNY All-Star game as a senior.  Wolcott finished his career with 618 points.
 
Graduating with a meteorology degree from Oneonta, Wolcott pursued an advanced degree in his discipline at Penn State where he received a Master of Science degree in 1980.  Wolcott spent 30+ years as a Hydrologist for the U.S. Geological Survey in Indianapolis and Albany including the last 11 years as a Supervisor until his retirement in 2011.  Wolcott published more than 20 scientific articles relating to meteorology and hydrology.  He currently is owner and operator of his own handyman business.
