Polce achieved what no other women’s basketball player ever had in the history of the program when she was selected as a WBCA/Kodak Div. III All-American in 2001. As a senior she led the Red Dragons to its best season record of 26-2 while capturing the program’s second SUNYAC title and qualifying for the NCAA tournament.
As a senior Polce earned the Player of the Year trifecta when she was selected as such by the SUNYAC, ECAC Div. III Upstate New York coaches and NYSWCAA. She was a two-year captain and two-time, first team All-SUNYAC selection while also earning ECAC and conference Player of the Week honors multiple times during her final two seasons.
Academically, Polce was a two-time recipient of the Lee Abbott Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award earned honors from the NYSWCAA, the SUNYAC and. She was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, which is the National Student-Athlete Honor Society and was a recipient of an NCAA postgraduate scholarship.
Polce graduated from Oneonta with a bachelor’s degree majoring in both elementary education and studio art and received her master’s from Oneonta in 2006. She currently is an art education teacher at Schenevus Central School.
