Hall of Fame
Leone was one of the first great track & field stars at Oneonta during the period of the early 1970’s when the college had an outdoor program. During his four years he set standards that were still in place when track & field re-emerged in 2003. His cumulative record for his career includes never losing a dual meet in the 440-yard dash in the SUNYAC while being conference champion in the event three years. He was a two-time national qualifier in the 440 and was the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1973.
Leone has not strayed far from his alma mater as he has worked as a security leader and residential advisor for the Oneonta Job Corps Center for the last 26 years.
