North was a standout, four-year player for the men’s soccer team during one of the most successful four-year stretches in program history.  During his tenure, the Red Dragons amassed an overall record of 48-5-2 that included a share of three SUNYAC titles and a pair of trips to the NCAA tournament.  The 1972 squad played for the Division II National Championship, falling in the title game to SIU-Edwardsville 1-0.  The 1973 team advanced into the second round of the Division I tournament.

North was an All-SUNYAC selection in 1971 and finished his career with 19 goals and 19 assists for 57 points.  North played one season for the Syracuse Suns of the Atlantic Soccer League in 1974.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science, North worked with the United Parcel Service from 1975-1982.  He then established the Dave North Trio and played professionally (1982-86) along the eastern United States performing Irish, British and American folk music.

Since 1986, he has been the President of Northstar Delivery and Distribution, which is a distributor of publications throughout Upstate New York and Canada.
