Hall of Fame
Dooley is the college’s greatest men’s lacrosse player to date as he enters the Hall of Fame. He garnered more honors during his four years than any lacrosse player that came before or since his graduation. As a four-year starting player he led the program to its greatest heights including the program’s only appearance in the NCAA tournament in 1999. Oneonta had four straight double-digit winning seasons while Dooley was a player putting together a record of 44-19 during the years of 1997-2000. The program won back-to-back Empire Lacrosse League titles in 1998 and 1999 and won the ECAC Upstate tournament title in 2000 when Dooley was a senior.
Dooley was twice selected as an All-American, once as the Empire Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year and ELL Player of the Year. As a senior, he was an ECAC All-Star, was SUNYAC Player of the Year and was selected as the MVP of both the ECAC tournament and the USILA Senior All-Star game. He is still the all-time leader in scoring with 276 career points.
After graduating with a degree in education, Dooley is currently teaching second grade in Rye,N.Y. where he also is the High School boy’s varsity lacrosse coach.
