O’Sullivan is arguably one of the greatest cross country and track & field athletes in the history of Oneonta. The honors and accolades earned during her brilliant four-year career put her on a short list of all-time greats.
In the sport of cross country, O’Sullivan was the team’s top runner earning SUNYAC All-Conference honors twice. As a senior, she became the first female runner in program history to earn SUNYAC Cross Country Hall of Fame status after her third-place finish at the conference championship meet. She was a two-time All-Region performer including being the first Oneonta runner to do so. In 2006, O’Sullivan became only the second woman to qualify for the NCAA championship as an individual.
In the sports of indoor and outdoor track & field, O’Sullivan was a four-time All-American, four-time ECAC and nine-time SUNYAC champion as an individual and as part of relays. She was national runner-up in the 800 meters at the 2006 NCAA outdoor and 2007 indoor national championships. Her performance at the 2007 SUNYAC indoor and outdoor championships earned her the Most Outstanding Track Athlete. In 2007, she was selected as the USTFCCCA Atlantic Region Track Athlete of the Year for the indoor season.
O’Sullivan currently still holds the indoor program records for the 500, 1000 and mile events. Her time of 2:52.26 in the 1000 still stands as the SUNYAC record. She still holds the program mark of 11:04.08 in the outdoor 3000-meter steeplechase.
O’Sullivan also exceled in the classroom earning USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete accolades and CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 honors. Her athletic career culminated with her selection as the Oneonta Female Athlete of the Year in 2006-07.

Her professional highlights include being the Manager of Special Events for the Boston Athletic Association from 2016-18. O’Sullivan continues to compete nationally and was a qualifier for the U.S. Championships in 2009 for both the indoor mile and the 15k road event. She narrowly missed out on qualifying for the U.S. Olympic trials in 2016 with a goal to make the trials.
