St. Claire is a throwback athlete of sorts competing as a three-sport athlete during her athletic career spanning 1986-1991.  She was a goalie during her three years on the field hockey team, a versatile player for her four years with the basketball team and an outfielder and catcher during her three seasons with the softball team.  St. Claire was recognized in 1991 as the Oneonta Female Athlete of the Year.
 
After starting as an outfielder during her first two seasons, St. Claire was asked to move into the position of catcher for her final season of 1991.  During her senior season, she led the squad to berths in the SUNYAC and NYSWCAA Tournaments while earning Team MVP, First Team All-SUNYAC honors and NYSWCAA All-Tournament Team selection.
 
In her three seasons with the field hockey team, St. Claire played in 55 games and accumulated more than 450 saves while allowing only 93 goals.  During her final season in 1990, she helped lead the squad to the NCAA Division III tournament.
 
In basketball, St. Claire was a versatile player who contributed as a scorer and rebounder during her final two seasons.  St. Claire, who was the team MVP at the conclusion of the 1989-90 season, played in 86 career games scoring 352 points and grabbing 332 rebounds.
 
St. Claire graduated from Oneonta with a degree in English Literature before earning a Master’s Degree from East Stroudsburg in 1993 majoring in Sport Management.  In 1994, she enlisted in the United States Navy and served 25 years retiring in 2019 as a Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman.  In 2006, St. Claire was promoted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer while deployed on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise CVN-65 serving in the Persian Gulf.
 
Passionate about running and fitness, St. Claire has competed in more than 100 marathons and multiple triathlons beginning in 1998 at the inaugural Suzuki Rock-and-Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA.  Throughout her running career, she has had success as a top age-group finisher including the Louisiana Marathon in 2020.  In 2021, St. Claire was 32nd in her age group at the world-famous Boston Marathon.
