During the past decade, SUNY Oneonta athletics has developed and renovated/refurbished every athletic facility with more improvements coming. The college has invested in enhancing the experience for student athletes while helping in the recruiting process by presenting state-of-the-art facilities.
Three of the signature renovations in recent years has been field turf surfaces for Red Dragon Field, All College Field and the Baseball Field. All three projects were multi-million dollar upgrades that included scoreboards and technology upgrades. Red Dragon Field is home to the soccer and lacrosse programs while All College Field is the home site for field hockey.
During 2021-22, the softball facility was completed with a brand new turf playing surface along with new batting cages installed behind the center field fence. Dewar Arena also received a makeover with a brand new playing surface updated with the primary dragon logo at center court.
Included in the round of upgrades in the Chase Physical Education Building was a total rebuilding of the wrestling practice facility that also included a full locker room. The weight rooms and fitness center also had upgrades and renovations to include the latest in strength and conditioning equipment.
