LaBarre had an incredible four-year career as the starting shortstop on two SUNYAC championship softball teams in 1999 and 2001.  Those two squads were the first to qualify for the NCAA tournament in the program’s history falling one game short of the College World Series in 2001.

A native of Conklin, N.Y., LaBarre still ranks in the top five in career hits, total bases and runs scored.  She also holds the distinction of being the toughest to strikeout.  In 503 at-bats, which is the career leader, she struck out a total of 12 times.  LaBarre finished her career with 178 hits and a .354 batting average.  She drove in 73 runs and accumulated 211 total bases while scoring 106 runs.

After finishing her career at Oneonta, she served as an assistant softball coach at Division I Lafayette College for one year before working as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Susquehanna Valley School District.  LaBarre is currently employed by Reynolds Enterprises in the rental shop division.
