Garth Stam patrolled the sidelines for men's soccer for 28 years and led the program to unparalleled success.
During his tenure he compiled a 246-134-29 record including a stretch of 62-6-5 from 1970 to 1975. He coached the team to undefeated seasons in 1971 and 1973 while leading the Red Dragons into the NCAA College Division final in 1972. Stam's teams won two ECAC titles in 1977 and 1980 while winning or sharing four SUNYAC crowns in 1971, '72, '73 and 1985.
He coached six of Oneonta's All-Americans and had 18 players drafted into professional soccer.
