Coscio brought notoriety to Oneonta through the sport of field hockey. As a four-year starting midfielder she led the team to a combined 47-32-2 record. The squad earned two berths to the NCAA Tournament (1990, 1992) and won an ECAC title in 1991 while qualifying for the New York State Championship all four years.
Individually, Coscio was a two-time National All-American, three-time Regional All-American, three-time All-New York State selection and a two-time Oneonta Female Athlete of the Year Award recipient. As a senior she was the team MVP, a co-captain and participated in the National Senior All-Star game in Richmond, Va.
Coscio grew up in Red Hook, N.Y. and, after graduating with a degree in interdisciplinary studies in 1993, moved to the University at Albany where she has served as an assistant field hockey coach for five years. During her time at Albany she has also completed a master's degree in educational administration which she received in 1998.
