Sorensen Harvey was a standout three-sport athlete in the early 1970’s for Oneonta, as women’s athletics began to grow at the college. She was a member of the volleyball, basketball and softball teams. Her athletic highlights included helping to lead the volleyball team to the AIAW national tournament in 1971 and 1972. She was selected as the Most Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1973.
Sorensen Harvey was a Home Economics major and minored in Food & Nutrition. She earned an M.A. in Dietetics from NYU in 1980.
From 1973-81, Sorensen Harvey was a Dietitian at Huntington (NY) Hospital. For the last 25 years she has been a self-employed consultant Dietitian for a local nursing home and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Sorensen Harvey is a registered Dietitian and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
