Lee-Miller has the distinction of being the first female student athlete to compete as an individual at the NCAA championships. Lee-Miller did so in 1989 when she competed at the NCAA cross-country championships in Rock Island, Ill. Her 54th place finish at the event is still the best finish amongst females at the cross-country championships.
Lee-Miller was a three-time Most Valuable Runner for the program and was team captain in 1989. She was the No. 1 runner for the program three of her four years and helped lead the Red Dragons to a 38-6 record in dual meets which included defeating 27 schools in a row during the 1989 season.
Since earning her bachelor’s degree in Food & Business in 1990, Lee-Miller completed Dietetics courses at Drexel in 1993 and an internship in Dietetics in 1995. She is a registered Dietitian and Nutritionist serving in that capacity for Philadelphia, PA area hospitals. She worked as a sports nutritionist for Aramark at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta, Ga., working in the athlete’s village.
Lee-Miller is currently self-employed as a massage therapist after completing a massage therapy program in 2011. Most of her clients happen to be runners.
