Donald Albin of Ilion, N.Y. was one of the top baseball players of his era while an undergraduate at Oneonta. He was an All-SUNYAC player in 1970 and 1971 and went undefeated in conference play as a pitcher for his career (14-0) while leading the Red Dragons to four straight SUNYAC titles.
In 1970 he led the conference in pitching and hitting while leading all small colleges in earned run average at 0.47.
Albin was a District All-Star during his last two seasons and went on to pitch for seven years in the Montreal Expos farm system where he was a member of one Eastern League Championship team and two American Association Championship teams.
