SUNY Oneonta Athletics

Wilhelm played for the baseball team from 1970-72 where he was a pitcher and outfielder for Hall of Fame coach, Don Axtell.  He was selected as a First Team All-Conference player in each of his three seasons with the Red Dragons and helped the squad win a pair of SUNYAC titles in 1970 and 1971.
 
Wilhelm spent his entire professional career as a history teacher at Cohoes High School.  He spent 40 years in the New York Army National Guard, retiring in 2010 as a Sergeant Major.
