ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team's hot start continued as they showcased their offense in a 9-0 victory over Keuka College, in their home opener Wednesday afternoon. Six different Red Dragons scored a goal with sophomore

Skyler Van Wormer (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland) passed the ball inside the arc to graduate student
Michaela Maniscalco (Northport, N.Y./Northport) who dribbled it towards the baseline then sent a centering pass to Howell for the goal. Hoffmann scored her first collegiate goal at the end of the period for the three-goal advantage. Sophomore
Abigail Draper (Remsen, NY/Holland Patent) passed a penalty corner to Maniscalco for a shot that was saved, Draper regained possession and passed it to Hoffmann on the other side of the cage for the goal.
The Red Dragons extended their lead to five heading into halftime. Just over 30 seconds into the second period, graduate student
Erin Clark (Somers, N.Y./Somers) took a shot that was saved by Nijeylie Torres. Hoffmann got control of the ball and gave a touch pass to freshman
Marissa Stephan (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) on the right side of the cage for her first collegiate score. Three minutes later, Howell intercepted a pass just outside of the shooting circle and passed it down to Hoffmann who ripped it in for her second goal of the game.
Howell recorded her hat trick at 38:50 when she got the ball at the top of the shooting circle, side-stepped past one defender and shot it past Khadeeja Reed for the goal. Maniscalco increased the lead to seven after she took the ball from the 25-yard line into the right side of the shooting circle and scored far side of the cage.
Clark scored her first of the season when she received the ball off a penalty corner then self-passed the ball in front of her to run past the Wolves' defender and fired it into the net. Junior
Grace Beattie (Windsor, N.Y./Windsor) recorded her first Red Dragon goal in the closing seconds of the game. Stephan took a shot near the right-side baseline and, before the keeper could kick it away, Beattie redirected it into the net.
