ONEONTA, N.Y. - Oneonta head field hockey coach Kelly Kingsbury is excited to announce the hiring of Maura Leib (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse Minoa) '26 as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2026 season. Leib joins the Red Dragons after a three-year playing career as Oneonta's starting goalkeeper.
"I am so incredibly excited to have Maura returning to our program this fall!" said Kingsbury. "As an assistant coach, she will bring incredible goalkeeping knowledge and experience to our staff. I am especially excited to have her back working with our young goalkeepers and helping them grow both on and off the field. We are so fortunate to have her back, and I know she will continue to make an incredible impact on our program!"
Leib started 52 games over three seasons as the Red Dragons' goalkeeper and finished her career as the program leader in saves with 498. She ranked sixth in the Oneonta record book with an .842 save percentage and 26 wins. Leib totaled ten shutouts over her career as the Red Dragons reached the SUNYAC playoffs in 2024 and 2025.
