Box Score The Oneonta State women's lacrosse team didn't have to go far to win its 12th game of the season last night as the closed 2012 with a 22-6 rout of Hartwick College. The 12 wins set a single season record for the women's lacrosse program as they finished 12-4 this spring.
As she has all season, senior
Rebecca Monteith (West Islip/West Islip) led the offense with four goals and one assist. For the season, she finished with 103 points and 75 goals, which are both single season records.
After Hartwick (5-11) jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 21 seconds into the contest, Oneonta ripped off three straight over the next three minutes to take the lead for good. Junior
Caroline Tulley (Malverne/Sacred Heart Academy) tied the score and then put Oneonta ahead 2-1 with back-to-back scores.
Freshman
Kiera McNally (East Northport/Northport) scored three of her four goals during the first half as the Red Dragons built a 12-4 lead going into halftime.
Oneonta registered 19 draw controls in the game including 10 by senior
Heidi Kissinger (East Islip/East Islip), who finished the season with 139. Kissinger has been ranked in the top-3 nationally all season long in draw controls.
Senior goalie
Annelise Muscietta (Lindenhurst/Walter O'Connell Copiague) made six saves and allowed only four goals in her final collegiate game. Muscietta finishes her career with 36 wins for the Red Dragons including three seasons of double-digit wins.
