PITTSFORD, NY- Oneonta State women's lacrosse headed to Pittsford to face St. John Fisher for their third game of the season. The Red Dragons (0-3) fell to the Cardinals (1-1) 20-10 as Junior
Rebecca Monteith (West Islip, West Islip) kept Oneonta in the game scoring seven of the team's 10 points.
St. John Fisher sent the ball into the net 11 seconds into the game and held the lead scoring the games first three goals going ahead 3-0.
The Red Dragons got on the board in the 4th minute of play as sophomore
Taylor Troyano (West Islip, West Islip) scored off a free position.
Oneonta scored again in the 8th minute of play when sophomore
Caroline Tulley (Malverne, Sacred Heart Academy) passed the ball to senior
Heidi Kissinger (East Islip, East Islip) who score cutting the Cardinals lead. Two minutes later junior
Samantha Voor (West Islip, West Islip) scored to put the Red Dragons down only 5-3.
The two squads battled back and forth with St. John Fisher leading 9-7 after Monteith scored to end the first half.
Monteith picked up where she left off scoring off a pass from Kissinger 52 seconds into the second half gaining momentum only down by one.
St. John Fisher then went on to a nine goal run led by seniors Mary Stimson and Meg Merriam who finished the game with four goals each.
Oneonta looked to make a comeback with Monteith scoring two but came up just short as time ran out.

Annelise Muscietta (Lindenhurst, Walter O'Connell Copiague) had six saves for the Red Dragons on the day in goal.
The Red Dragons will look to bounce back as they will face RIT tomorrow at 11:30 am.
