     SUNY Oneonta sophomore Rebecca Monteith (West Islip/West Islip) scored four goals and added one assist in lead the women's lacrosse team to an easy 15-5 road win against Utica College yesterday. The Red Dragons (3-0) took control in the opening half leading 8-1 and then cruised in from there in remaining perfect in the early season.
     Senior Somer Shuffield (East Rochester/East Rochester) got Oneonta on the scoreboard in the sixth minute on a free position shot. From there, the Red Dragons added six unanswered goals including three by junior Rosemarie Fazio (Mohegan Lake/Lakeland).
     Oneonta outscored the Pioneers 7-4 in the second half where Monteith notched three of her four goals on the day. Freshman Andrea Spano (Mt. Sinai/Mt. Sinai) capped the scoring for Oneonta with her first collegiate goal.
     Sophomore goalie, Annelise Muscietta (Lindenhurst/Walter O'Connell Copiague) made six saves in picking up her third win in as many games.
     Oneonta will be on the road this coming Tuesday at Scranton for a contest that is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
