Three Red Dragons Named All-SUNYAC

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Three Oneonta women's lacrosse members picked up All-SUNYAC honors on Wednesday, as announced by the conference office. Senior Cassidy Moore (Hampton Bays, NY/Hampton Bays) made first team, junior Lindsey Townes (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) was second team, and junior McKenzie Busch (Babylon, NY/Babylon Jr./Sr.) garnered third-team recognition.

Moore makes the first team for the first time in her career after being on the second team as a sophomore and the third team as a junior. Moore finished third in the SUNYAC with 84 points. She led Oneonta with 54 points and 30 assists. Moore also had four game-winning goals. Her 111 draw controls placed third all-time in Oneonta program history. She broke the single-game draw control record with 16 against Canton. Defensively, Moore caused 11 turnovers and grabbed 29 ground balls.

Townes earns her first all-conference recognition on the second team. She finished second on the team with 46 goals and seven assists. Townes scored a career-high seven goals with four assists in the win over Morrisville, and had five games scoring five or more goals. She led the team with 15 caused turnovers, and added 22 draw controls and 24 groundballs.

Busch picks up her first-career All-SUNYAC selection. One of the league's top defenders, she started 16 games, causing nine turnovers with 25 ground balls. Busch caused a career-high four turnovers against Morrisville and had a season-best seven ground balls in the win over Canton.

Oneonta finished the year at 7-10 overall and 6-3 in the SUNYAC and reached the conference tournament.
