PHILADELPHIA, PA - Fifth-year Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) raced in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the historic Penn Relays on Thursday evening. He was just one of two Division III runners in a field that featured 25 Division I athletes.
Bierman crossed 30th overall with a season-best time of 9:05.28. As of today, the time ranks 14th in Division III this season. Victor Kibiego of Texas A&M was the individual champion at 8:37.33. Kibiego was the 3,000-meter steeplechase SEC champion in 2024.
The Oneonta track & field team also competes on Fri. Apr. 25 at the RPI Capital District Classic.
