Oneonta Men's Track & Field Begins Action at AARTFC Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, N.Y. - The Oneonta men's track & field team began the first day of action at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, hosted at Ursinus College.

The Red Dragons began the track events with the 4x100 relay, placing 11th in the preliminary round. The group of Isaiah Slater (Brooklyn, NY/John F. Kennedy), Kejhaune Lester (Castleton, NY/Columbia), Cam Spears (Bronx, NY/Monroe Woodbury), and Amir Mceachin (Middletown, NY/Middletown) ran a time of 41.93.

Senior Tariq Earl (Centereach, NY/Centereach) placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdle prelims at 14.52 to reach tomorrow's finals.

In the 100-meter dash prelims, Lester took sixth at 10.74 to qualify for the finals.

Senior Sawyer Eckberg (Maryland, NY/Laurens-Milford) took 21st in the hammer throw at 47.60 meters.

Slater finished 15th in the long jump with a mark of 6.72 meters.

Oneonta continues the AARTFC Championships on Thursday, May 14, starting at 10 a.m.
