ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's cross country team took 13th out of 23 teams at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championships held at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday morning. NYU won the 6k meet with 52 points, while the Red Dragons scored 313.
Geneseo's Ann Brennan won the individual title with a time of 21:38.2.
Junior Anya Sloth (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta Senior) led Oneonta with a 40th-place finish at 23:12.2, while junior Gia Engel (Syosset, NY/Syosset) crossed 44th at 23:26.6. Freshman Jill Cinquina (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) ran a 23:49.9 to place 58th overall, and sophomore Anna Kern (Central Valley, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) took 81st at 24:34.8.
Junior Olivia Komacek (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) ran a 25:08.7 (95th), and sophomore Natalia Sweat (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh) crossed at 25:12.7 (97th). Sophomore Sophia Allen (Scotia, NY/Scotia Glenville) was Oneonta's seventh runner at 26:04.1 (108th).
