Cripe and Peck Receive All-SUNYAC Women’s Tennis Honors

ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNYAC released their 2025-26 women's tennis annual awards including the Peter J. Cahill Most Valuable Player, Doubles Team of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year and All-Conference teams as voted on by the conference coaches. Junior Haley Peck (West Point, N.Y./James I. O'Neil) and sophomore Annika Cripe (Islip, N.Y./Islip) both represented Oneonta women's tennis and earned All-Conference status this season.

Cripe was named to the SUNYAC Second Team for singles and doubles, while Peck was selected to the Second Team for her doubles play. It is the first time both Red Dragons have received All-SUNYAC recognition.

"I'm extremely proud of Annika and Haley for earning Second Team All-Conference honors," said head coach Brian Roser. "Both put in a tremendous amount of work over the summer, and it showed throughout the season."

Peck and Cripe were Oneonta's number one duo this season and finished with a 7-5 overall record. The pair went 3-2 in conference play with victories over Cortland, Fredonia, and Oswego's top teams. The Red Dragon pair only dropped six games in four non-conference doubles wins as they defeated Houghton, Utica, Misericordia, and Marywood this season, which included a, 6-0, bagel decision over the Pioneers.

"Their hard work paid off with key wins at No. 1 doubles against regular-season No. 2 Oswego and SUNYAC runner-up Cortland," Coach Roser continued. "The chemistry and competitiveness they brought every match were a major reason for our team's improvement this year."

In singles play, Cripe played all 11 of her matches on court No. 2 and recorded a 6-5 record during the fall. She defeated her Plattsburgh and Fredonia opponents in SUNYAC competition with identical scores, 6-0, 6-3. Cripe finished the season out strong and won five of her last seven singles matches.

Oneonta ended the fall season 5-7 overall and 1-4 in SUNYAC play. The Red Dragons are on break until Saturday, February 7, 2026, when they travel for a match at RIT.
