Maura Leib (East Syracuse, N.Y./East Syracuse Minoa) finished with a career-high 23 saves for the Red Dragons as the result moved the team to 8-5 overall, 2-2 in conference play, and the Seagulls to 11-2 overall and 3-0 in the SUNYAC. Â
Kaitlyn DeModna and Marli McDorman each recorded two goals and an assist for Salisbury, while three different Seagulls tallied the other three scores. McDorman recorded Salisbury's first goal at 1:39 in the first period, then the road team scored again at 5:32 and 7:42 for a 3-0 lead after the first. DeModna and McDorman both scored in the second period for a 5-0 advantage heading into halftime, then Salisbury found the cage two more times in the fourth period for the 7-0 final. Â

Abigail Draper (Remsen, NY/Holland Patent) registered a shot attempt for Oneonta at 42:14 in the third quarter, but it was blocked by a defender. The Red Dragons generated a handful of penalty corners and got the ball into the shooting circle on several occasions in the second half, however the Seagulls' defenders poke-checked or stole the ball before a shot on goal was created. Â
Salisbury outshot Oneonta 39-1 in total shots and they held a 16-4 advantage in corner kicks. Â
Oneonta is on the road for their next SUNYAC match on Saturday, October 25, as they travel to Cortland for the Battle of the Red Dragons at 1 pm. Â
