ROCHESTER, N.Y. -Â The Oneonta men's track & field team concluded the first day of the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Indoor Championships on Saturday afternoon.
Oneonta started the track events with the 60-meter dash on Friday evening. Senior Chris Ganley (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) placed 21st at 7.05.
Moving into Saturday, senior Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) scored in the mile with a sixth-place finish of 4:16.78. Junior Gabe Burns (Riverhead, NY/Riverhead) took ninth (4:17.48).Â
Two Red Dragons competed in the weight throw. Junior Marco ALteri threw 14.59 meters for 22nd place, and sophomore Sawyer Eckberg (Maryland, NY/Laurens-Milford) was 25th at 13.87 meters.
Oneonta now awaits to see if any athletes qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Mar. 8.Â
