ONEONTA, N.Y. - Both the Oneonta men's and women's swimming & diving teams earned College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Fall Scholar All-America distinction, announced by the association office this weekÂ
Teams must have a combined GPA of 3.00 or higher in order to earn CSCAA Scholar All-America status. The women's team posted a team GPA of 3.25, while the men's squad recorded a 3.04. This marks the 11th time the women have received the award and the fourth time the men have picked it up.Â
The CSCAA honors its Scholar All-America programs twice an academic year, once after each semester. In total, 783 programs from 461 institutions earned the honor for the fall. In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
