TERRE HAUTE, IN - Fifth-year Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) concluded the cross country season at the NCAA Division III Championships held at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course on Saturday morning. Bierman placed 208th in the highly competitive field.
Wisconsin-La Crosse won the team title with 77 points, while Wisconsin-Whitewater's Christian Patzka won the 8,000-meter course at 24:01.6.
Bierman ran a 5k split of 16:08.9 and moved up in the pack to cross at 25:50.7.
This was the second year in a row Bierman qualified for the NCAA Championships and placed 233rd at 26:33.1 a year ago.
Bierman was the first individual SUNYAC Champion in program history earlier this season, as well as an all-region selection at the Niagara Region Cross Country Championships with an 18th-place finish.
