ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Oneonta men's cross country team took 19th out of 27 teams at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championships held at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday morning. Geneseo won the 8k meet with 29 points, while Oneonta scored 540.
Geneseo's Ryan Hagan was the individual champion at 24:11.7, while the Knights had four finishers in the top six.
Junior Noah Pickard (Batavia, NY/Batavia) paced the Red Dragons with a personal record of 27:26.0 to place 85th overall. Freshman Alexander Wheeler () crossed at 27:32.9 to finish 95th. Freshman Xander Kunz (Elbridge, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) posted a personal best of 28:23.5 (116th), while junior Cael Owen (Gillett, PA/Horseheads)s ran a 28:38.0 (124th).
Freshman Nick Petro (Peru, NY/Peru) recorded a personal record of 28:40.7 (125th), and freshman Tyler Masiello (Pleasantville, NY/Westlake) crossed a personal best of 28:55.0 (132nd). Sophomore Vincent DiStefano (Nesconset, NY/Smithtown West) was Oneonta's seventh finisher at 29:33.3 (143rd).
