LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Oneonta men's cross country team placed 32nd at the Rowan Border Battle on Saturday morning. Carnegie Mellon won the 8K race with 67 points, while Micah Lachman won at 24:28.8.
Junior Noah Pickard (Batavia, NY/Batavia) was Oneonta's top finisher at a personal best of 27:29.7 for 175th place. Freshman Alexander Wheeler () placed 178th at a personal best of 27:30.9, while junior Cael Owen (Gillett, PA/Horseheads)s crossed 258th at 28:48.9.
Freshman Xander Kunz (Elbridge, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) ran a personal best of 29:.00.4 to finish 266th overall. Junior Jonathan McGwyne-Dantis (Blauvelt, NY/Tappan Zee) ran a 29:17.3 for 273rd, and sophomore Vincent DiStefano (Nesconset, NY/Smithtown West) was 278th at 29:23.1. Freshman Donovan Lema (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) had a personal best of 29:26.7, and sophomore Brady McGowan (Seaford, NY/Seaford) crossed at 29:57.6. Freshman Aidan Mann (Levittown, NY/General Douglas MacArthur) ran 30:17.2, and freshman Tyler Masiello (Pleasantville, NY/Westlake) finished at 30:36.5.
Oneonta next competes at the SUNYAC Championships on Saturday, November 1.
