BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis fell to Oswego State, 6-1, in the final SUNYAC match at the Binghamton Tennis Center, Saturday afternoon. Junior Danielle Copp (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) won both her singles and doubles match as the Red Dragons moved to 3-5 on the season, 0-5 in the SUNYAC, and the Lakers improved to 12-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

Copp teamed up with sophomore Haley Peck (West Point, N.Y./James I. O'Neil) on the No. 1 court and defeated Avery Borman and Isabella Eason, 6-3. With the win, Copp and Peck improved to 4-3 as a duo this season. Oswego took courts two and three for the doubles match point.

The top three singles courts all went into a super tiebreaker set. Copp faced Rafaela Dimitrakopou on court two where Copp won the first set, 6-2, before Dimitrakopou secured the second set with a 6-2 score herself. In the super tiebreaker, Copp pulled away from Dimitrakopou to win the match, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6).

Salamida came away with the back-and-forth tiebreaker, 10-8, for the point. On court No. 3, freshman Taylor Plue (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) had a battle with Leah Bell. After dropping a close first set, 6-4, Plue won set two, 6-3. Bell gained the advantage late in the super tiebreaker and earned the point, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (12-10).
