BROCKPORT, N.Y. -Â The Oneonta men's swimming & diving team grabbed a 123-82 victory over Brockport on Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons went on to win eight events on the day.
The 200-medley relay of seniors Ross Caimano (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) and Eli Cohen (Schoharie, NY/East Lake (Fla)) and juniors James Llewellyn (Great River, NY/East Islip) and Jon Stanzione won with a time of 1:41.53.
In the 1,000-freestyle, freshman Andrew Capella (Glenville, NY/Burnt-Hills-Ballston Lake) placed first after swimming a 10:39.63. Stanzione placed second in the 200-freestyle at 1:56.74, and Caimano was third at 1:57.74.Â
Junior Mason DeLisio (Kingston, NY/Kingston) swam a 21.88 to win the 50-freestyle, and Llewellyn took second in the 200-IM at 2:04.65. Senior Daniel Oh (Huntington, NY/Harborfields) finished first in the 100-butterfly with a time of 56.31.
Oneonta went 1-2 in the 100-freestyle, with Caimano winning at 50.42. Cohen earned second by swimming 51.02.Â
Llewellyn cruised to a first-place finish in the 100-backstroke with a time of 56.62.Â
DeLisio picked up another victory in the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:02.16.Â
Capella swam 1:07.88 to take second in the 100-backstroke, and Oh finished at 1:11.09 to place third.Â
Oneonta wrapped up with a first-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay. DeLisio, Oh, freshman Cosmo Martinelli (Albany, NY/Albany), and Cohen finished at 1:30.50.
The Red Dragons next compete against Saint Rose and RPI in Troy, NY, on Sun. Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.
