SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has selected senior setter Kayla Rende (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) from Oneonta as the women's volleyball offensive player of the week.
Senior Rende surpassed 1,000 career assists in Oneonta 1-1 weekend at the Dig Pink Invitational. She totaled 73 assists, 13 digs, two blocks, one ace, and a kill in seven sets. In the 3-0 sweep against Baruch, Rende recorded a match-high 29 assists while averaging 9.67 a set. Then in the 3-1 loss to Hartwick, Rende had 44 assists (11.00 per set) to reach 1,016 for her career, which is sixth most in the Oneonta record books.
