GENESEO, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's cross country team placed 11th out of 20 teams at Saturday morning's 41st Mike Woods Invitational held at the National Airplane Museum. Junior
Megan Francoeur (New Lebanon, NY/Pittsfield (MA)) was the top Red Dragon with a 6k time of 22:46.9 for 10th overall.Â
Geneseo had eight finishers in the top ten to win the meet with 15 points. The Knights' Kathleen McCarey won the individual title with a 21:11.8.Â
Francoeur stayed in the top ten the entire race, and sophomore
Emily Rudolph (Stillwater, NY/Webb UFSD) was the next Oneonta finisher at 46th place. Rudolph ran a personal best for the second week in a row, crossing at 23:53.3. Senior Ella Dephillips ran a 24:05.5 for 60th, while senior
Sarah Vicente (Ronkonkoma, NY/Connetquot) dropped a minute off her personal best by running a 26:07.4.

Molly Chiarella (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) was Oneonta's fifth finisher and ran a 26:41.6. Sophomores
Sabrinna Mena (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) and
Sarah Luby (Patterson, NY/Brewster) were the next two Red Dragons. Mena crossed at 26:48.6, while Luby ran a 27:01.0. Junior
Sage Springsteen (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) followed with a personal record 27:59.0, and first-year
Olivia Holland (Cobleskill, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) was next at 28:08.6.Â
Oneonta has a few days off before it competes at the Delhi Bronco Weekday 5k on Tues. Oct. 4 at 5 p.m.
