The State University of New York Athletic Conference has announced that SUNY Oneonta sophomore
Richard Mangogna (Kings Park/Kings Park) has been selected as the PrestoSports Men's Field Athlete of the Week. Mangogna earned the honor after his performance this past Friday at the Ithaca Invitational.Â

Mangogna, who is one of Oneonta's multi-event athletes, competed in four events during the Invitational scoring points for the Red Dragons in the pole vault. In the pole vault, he cleared 4.25 meters (13'-11 ¼") to take third place. He also posted personal best marks in the other three events that he competed in (60 hurdles, long jump, shot put).

Mangogna and the Red Dragons will compete at the Hamilton Invitational this Friday.
