Danielle Kennedy competed in the sports of cross country and track & field and has the distinction of being the first cross country All-American in program history. Kennedy competed for the Red Dragons from 2010-14.

In the fall of 2013, Kennedy led the Red Dragon women to its first berth in the NCAA Division III cross country championships. The trip would be the first of four straight appearances for Oneonta. At the 2013 championships, Kennedy was the 19
th individual to cross the line to earn All-American honors. That fall, she also finished sixth at the NCAA Atlantic Region championships to earn All-Region honors.

Kennedy was a three-time, First Team SUNYAC All-Conference performer in cross country and earned Hall of Fame status in the conference with her fifth-place finish at the 2011 championship meet. Overall, she posted the third fastest 6K time in program history of 21:31.

In track & field, Kennedy was the SUNYAC indoor 3K champion twice earning All-Conference First Team honors. She posted the second fastest time in program history for the indoor 5K.

Academically, Kennedy was a 2013 USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete in cross country. She was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society and was named to the SUNYAC All-Academic Team three times and Commissioner's List once.
