Brockport, NY - After its training trip in Florida and an 11 day break, the SUNY Oneonta men's swimming and diving team overwhelmed the Brockport Golden Eagles 166-120 on the campus of SUNY Brockport.

Highlights for the Red Dragon men began in the 1000 yard freestyle when freshman Christopher Costanzo (Staten Island/Susan E. Wagner) took top honors with a time of 10:27.31 with sophomore Jared Ciccarelli (Staten Island/Tottenville) finishing in the runner-up position.  In the 100 yard breaststroke, senior Zeke Brynin (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) was a victor touching the wall with a time of 59.67 and teammate sophomore Douglas Alliano (Massapequa/Massapequa) right behind as the pair took first and second.

Later in the 200 yard freestyle, Ciccarelli was a winner recording a time of 2:09.67 while sophomore Scott Richardson (Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy) followed him in the runner-up spot.  The 50 yard freestyle saw freshman William Coddington (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) securing a winner's position timing in at 22.52 with sophomore Luke Sheridan (Warwick/Warwick Valley) and freshman Jacob Hurteau (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills Ballston Lake) finishing second and third respectively in the event.

In the 200 yard breaststroke, Brynin came back to the winner's circle with a time of 2:12.14 and freshman teammate Daniel Kohler (Nanuet/Nanuet) turning in a runner-up performance with the Red Dragons dominating that event.  Costanzo returned to the top position, this time in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:06.10.  Sophomore Devin Wuderlich was a runner-up with the Red Dragons again taking first and second in that race.  Sophomore Christopher Corsello (Monroe/Monroe Woodbury) took the top position in the three-meter dive with sophomore Jerome Wiggins (Binghamton/Binghamton) and freshman Nate Sorensen (Campbell Hall/Washingtonville) taking the second and third position making it a Red Dragon sweep.

With a great win over the Eagles, the Red Dragon men will have a week off before taking on the SUNY New Paltz Hawks at home in the Chase Fitness Center pool on Saturday, January 27th beginning at 1 PM.
