Oneonta, NY Â - Â The College of St. Rose College came into the Chase Pool on the campus of SUNY Oneonta and dropped a defeat on the Red Dragon's men's swimming and diving team today by a score of 129-100.
Some highlights for the Red Dragons were found in the 1000 yard freestyle, as junior
Connor Killane (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) took first with a time of 10:40.35 just .06 ahead of his teammate and runner-up freshman
Jared Ciccarelli (Staten Island/Tottenville).
The other victories for the Red Dragons came in the diving competition. Freshman
Christopher Corsello (Monroe/Monroe Woodbury) and freshman
Jerome Wiggins (Binghamton/Binghamton) took first and second in the one meter diving event.
Highlighting the meet for St. Rose was a pool record in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:05.55. Another pool record was also set by St. Rose with a time of 47.89 in the 100 yard freestyle.Â
The Red Dragon men will try and get back on the winning track on Saturday, November 12th against its city rivals from Hartwick beginning at 1 PM at the Hartwick College pool.
