ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team battled St. John Fisher to a 1-1 tie through two overtimes today in the opening game of the men's Div. III Flower City Tournament hosted by Rochester. Newcomer Dan Josepher (Manorville) scored the lone goal and his second in as many games for the Red Dragons, who are 1-0-1 after the first two games of the season.

Oneonta fell behind 1-0 in the seventh minute of play when Sean Fishel headed a losse ball by Oneonta keeper Maxwell Siegelman (Roslyn Heights).

Josepher's goal came in the 69th minute when he headed in a corner kick service from sophomore Dan Scott (Salt Point).

Early in second half, Fisher;'s Brian Canty headed the ball past Siegelman, but it hit the right post and was cleared by the defense.

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--Rochester's Jimmy Parrinello scored on a direct kick in the 19th minute to give Rochester its only goal. In a somewhat physical game (30 fouls called, three yellows issued), the Yellowjackets were able to hold off the Red Dragons' speed.

Oneonta threw everyone forward in the closing minute (except the GK) in an attempt to equalize. Final shot by Scott in a scramble was blocked by Rochester's Steve Welles and chipped out of the area.
