LEWISBURG, PA - The Oneonta men's track & field team concluded the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Sunday, with the Red Dragons competing in seven events. Oneonta went against Division I, II, and III schools.
In the field events, senior Drew Obernesser (New City, NY/Clarkstown North) placed 22nd at 43.13 meters. The hammer throw saw junior Elijah Cruz (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush Central) place 24th at 48.28 meters, while senior Sawyer Eckberg (Maryland, NY/Laurens-Milford) finished 27th at 46.82 meters. Senior Justin Baldwin (Cato, NY/Cato-Meridian) was 32nd (44.20 meters), and junior Connor Vrendenburgh placed 33rd (43.40 meters).
Freshman Jacob Prentice (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) posted a personal best of 50.64 to finish 50th in the 400-meter. Sophomore Alex Darrigo (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland) took 34th in the 100-meter at 11.17, while Slater took 48th at 11.26.
In the 400-meter hurdles, freshman Christopher Cordero placed 26th with a personal record of 57.25. Sophomore Justin Berkowitz (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) was 31st at 58.37.
Senior Josh Jerome (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland) led Oneonta with a 22.84 in the 200-meter. Darrigo ran a 23.19, Cordero hit a 23.20. Prentice ran a 23.33, and Berkowitz ran a 23.34.
Oneonta next competes at the Cortland Classic on Friday, April 17.
