Lester Advances to 60-Meter Finals After Day One of AARTFC Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Junior Kejhaune Lester (Castleton, NY/Columbia) won the 60-meter prelims at 6.85 to reach tomorrow's finals on the first day of the AARTFC Indoor Championships held at the Armory. The Red Dragons competed in four events on the day.

Senior Tariq Earl (Centereach, NY/Centereach) took 24th in the 60-meter hurdle prelims at 8.49.

In the long jump, junior Isaiah Slater (Brooklyn, NY/John F. Kennedy) scored a point for the Red Dragons by placing eighth at 6.96 meters. Senior Josh Jerome (Guilderland, NY/Guilderland) took 18th at 6.69 meters.

Oneonta's 4x400 relay of Jacob Prentice (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley), Colin Bresnihan (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa), Justin Berkowitz (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow), and Cam Spears (Bronx, NY/Monroe Woodbury) placed 13th with a season-best time of 3:21.57.

Oneonta concludes the AARTFC Championships on Saturday, March 6.
