Slater Earns Second Team All-American Honors in Long Jump

BIRMINGHAM, AL - Oneonta men's track & field junior Isaiah Slater (Brooklyn, NY/John F. Kennedy) finished with Second Team All-American honors in the long jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday afternoon at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, AL.

Slater took 14th in the field of 16 jumpers at 6.68 meters. He had his best mark on his third attempt and became the first Oneonta long jumper in program history to earn All-American status.

Joshua Rivers from Wisconsin-Oshkosh was the long jump champion with a mark of 7.48 meters.
