Oneonta Men's Basketball Release 2025-26 Schedule

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta men's basketball team, in conjunction with head coach Cameron Conover, is pleased to announce its 2025-26 schedule.

"It is our objective each season to prepare our team for the rigors of conference play in the SUNYAC and a postseason berth," Conover stated. "This year is no different. We have positioned our program to compete against some of the strongest non-conference opponents in our region. Our guys enjoy competition, and we have made it a priority to play as challenging a schedule as possible. We were invited to play in a Division I tournament over Thanksgiving weekend and jumped at the opportunity.  Not only will our guys get the opportunity to play two division one games, but we will have the opportunity to travel to Canada and experience some great culture in Montreal."

Conover's squad opens the season at home against cross-town rival Hartwick on Wednesday, November 12, in the annual Battle of the Hills.   Three days later, the team hosts the 4th Annual Michael A. Freilich Memorial Tip-Off Tournament on November 15 and 16, featuring RPI, Wheaton College, and Penn State Altoona.  On November 19, Oneonta travels to Massachusetts to play Williams College, the first of three NESCAC opponents on the schedule.  On Saturday, November 22, Oneonta hits the road again when they travel to King's College (PA).
From November 28 to 30, the Red Dragons will travel to Montreal, Canada, where they will play two games against Division I opponents, UAlbany and Colgate.

The Red Dragons begin conference play on Friday, December 5, on the road against New Paltz, before a break for final exams.

Conover's team hits the road for a holiday tournament at Springfield College on December 31 and January 1, where they take on pre-determined NESCAC opponents, Connecticut College and Colby College.

Oneonta resumes conference play when it hosts Canton January 6, and then hits the road for back-to-back games at Morrisville (January 9) and Cortland (January 10).

The Red Dragons host Oswego January 13 before traveling to Western New York for back-to-back games at Buffalo (January 16) and Fredonia (January 17).

Oneonta hits the road again when they take on Oswego on January 20 for the second time in the week.  The Red Dragons return home when they host Plattsburgh (January 23) and Potsdam (January 24).

On January 27, Oneonta travels to Canton, before hosting Cortland (January 30) and Morrisville (January 31), concluding with their 4th three-game week in a row.

February continues with two more home games vs Fredonia (February 6) and Buffalo (February 7). The Red Dragons face New Paltz on February 13 for their final regular-season home contest.

Oneonta wraps up the regular season with back-to-back road games at Potsdam (February 20) and Plattsburgh (February 21).
