ONEONTA, N.Y. - The SUNYAC released the conference's 2024-25 men's basketball All-Conference teams and end-of-the-season awards on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Kobe Long (Rochester, NY/McQuaid) earned All-SUNYAC Second Team for his first all-conference award as a Red Dragon. The awards are nominated and voted on by the conference coaches.
Despite starting later in the season, Long immediately impacted his return to the court. He appeared in 17 games while making six starts. He led the team in scoring at 16.3 points per game while shooting .432 percent from the field. Long knocked down a team-high 43 three-pointers on .347 percent shooting. He also made 38 assists with 16 steals. Long finished the year 56-of-60 (.933 percent) from the free throw line.
Long scored a season-high 28 points against Plattsburgh and had six games with 21 or more points.
Oneonta finished the season at 14-12 overall and 9-9 in the conference and reached the SUNYAC First Round.
