ONEONTA, N.Y. - After a stellar first season, Oneonta men's track & field freshman Ayobami Adebayo (Long Island, NY/Longwood) is the SUNYAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year for 2025. Adebayo was also the SUNYAC Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year. He is the first Red Dragon in men's track & field history to achieve the award.

Adebayo was the conference champion in the high jump (2.00 meters) and the runner-up in the triple jump, with a distance of 14.10 meters. His mark of 2.00 meters in the high jump is the second-best in program history, and he is only the second Red Dragon to clear 2.00 meters. In addition, he finished 13th in the long jump at the conference championship in his first year competing for the Oneonta Red Dragons. Adebayo went on to finish fourth in the high jump at the 2025 AARTFC championship meet at 1.92 meters.

Additionally, Adebayo was USTFCCCA All-Region for the high jump.
