LEWISBURG, PA - The Oneonta men's track & field team continued the season at Saturday afternoon's highly competitive Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. The Red Dragons had athletes compete in three events.

In the discus, senior Sawyer Eckberg (Maryland, NY/Laurens-Milford) placed 32nd at 40.02 meters, while sophomore Justin Baldwin (Cato, NY/Cato-Meridian) was 36th at 38.96 meters.

Sophomore Isaiah Slater (Brooklyn, NY/John F. Kennedy) took 27th in the long jump with a mark of 6.22 meters. Freshman Ayobami Adebayo (Long Island, NY/Longwood) hit 6.02 meters of 34th overall.

Fifth-year Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) placed sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 9:08.83, which currently ranks 10th in NCAA Division III. Sophomore Chris Schimkus (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) ran an AARTFC regional qualifying time of 9:29.38 to finish 32nd.

Oneonta continues the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Sun. Apr. 13 at 9 a.m. The Red Dragons also compete at the Utica Pioneer Spring Invite at 10 a.m.
