TROY, N.Y. - The Oneonta track & field team competed in mid-week action at Thursday night's RPI Under the Lights Meet. The Red Dragons had three compete in the women's 5k and two in the men's 5k.
Sophomore Gia Engel (Syosset, NY/Syosset) was the top Red Dragon for the women, placing seventh at 18:51.51. Senior Sabrinna Mena (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) crossed ninth at 18:52.99, while junior Olivia Holland (Cobleskill, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) finished 11th at 19:16.97.
Senior Gabe Burns (Riverhead, NY/Riverhead) ran a personal best of 14:57.77 to finish fifth in the men's race. Fifth-year John Balk, Jr. (Suffern, NY/Suffern) crossed 14th at 15:40.33.
Oneonta next competes at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic from Apr. 12-13.
