ITHACA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's track & field team opened the first day of the AARTFC Championships on Friday afternoon.
Oneonta had three competitors in the shot put, with freshman Mackenzie Lawrence (Berne, NY/Berne-Knox) taking 21st at 11.20 meters, Junior Tarryn Herman (Franklinville, NY/Franklinville) 24th at 11.07 meters, and freshman Wealthy Robinson (Utica, NY/Thomas R. Proctor) 27th at 10.04 meters.
Freshman Jaiden Schrag (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley Central) finished tenth in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.02. Sophomore Nicolette DuBose (Levittown, NY/Island Trees) placed 26th in the 60-meter dash at 8.09. Sophomore Brianna Senatore (/) ran an 8.16 for 30th overall.
Sophomore Gia Engel (Syosset, NY/Syosset) crossed at 18:40.54 in the 5,000-meter race to place 14th overall.
Schrag grabbed 13th in the long jump with a mark of 5.14 meters.
Oneonta continues the second day of the meet on Sat. Mar. 8 at 11 a.m.
